Fairplay Editorial Policy

How Fairplay separates source-backed cricket facts, historical records, interpretation and demonstration values.

Updated 9 October 2026

Verification and attribution

A match score, fixture, player fact or award recipient should be traceable to its source. Official cricket-board and competition records are preferred for identities and honours; reputable reporting may support dated context. Missing values stay missing rather than being filled with invented figures.

News previews identify future fixtures and separate confirmed schedule facts from lineups or toss details not yet announced. Guide articles explain their historical window and retain visible evidence gaps.

Keep different evidence types separate

Scores and match state are API data. Statistics derived from the returned sample state their inclusion rules. Player records are dated milestones or clearly scoped source totals. Analysis is explained context, not an undisclosed prediction engine.

Rates demonstration values are not API prices or match probabilities. Their meaning and formula are documented separately. The IPL Fair Play Award belongs to teams; player profiles do not make an individual a recipient.

Corrections and review

If a source changes or a factual error is identified, the affected page should be checked against the supporting record and updated with the appropriate date and context. Requests can be submitted through the real public contact address.

The site does not claim a named reviewer, professional credential, automated accuracy guarantee or response deadline that has not been provided.
